Korean breathwork & meditation practice

ENRICH YOUR MIND, BODY & SPIRIT IN 2026

Our introductory series will guide you through Taoist stretches, poses, breath work and meditation practices designed to bridge your body and mind. Throughout our time together we will explore topics in-depth, giving you the tools to carry SunDo practice into your everyday life. Topics include...

TANCHEON (LOWER BELLY) BREATHWORK
Have you ever noticed how so many mind-body practices are deeply connected to breathing? During week 1, we will explore Tancheon breathing principles that are essential to cultivating healthy energy in both SunDo and in everyday life.
increasing qi Flow
Qi is the Chinese word for "internal energy" or "essence". In week 2, we will learn about how the various elements of SunDo (breath work, stretches, postures, meditation) increase our Qi flow, which is often therapeutic for both body and mind.
finding success with meditation
Let's be honest - meditation is not as easy as it looks. This week we will discuss SunDo as a type of focused meditation compared to other methods  and provide tips to find success in each. 
why diaphragmatic breathing is important
Diaphragmatic breathing - AKA deep belly breathing - calms our nervous system. In week 4, we will teach you how to practice diaphragmatic breathing correctly, and just how much it can improve your physiological being.
what are the chakras?
Chakras are the main energy points throughout the body. In week 5 we will dive into work with three of those chakras - sacral, third eye & heart - also known as the Three Treasures through guided visualization.
BREATHWORK integration
During week 6, we will review the principles of breathwork and determine how well we've been able to integrate them into our practice. You'll learn how to assess your own breathing and receive guidance from our instructors on how to deepen your mind-body connection.
FIVE ELEMENTS OF QI
We will practice and refine our SunDo Qi exercises by following along with an instructional video with a SunDo master teacher from Korea. We will revisit what we've learned about Qi and gain a new understanding of the five elements and internal organ health.

​In the event of a class cancellation due to weather conditions, we will reschedule the missed class for the following Tuesday, effectively pushing all classes back 1 week.

​Refund Policy: 
​Within two weeks of start date, full refund; within one week of start date, 50% refund; after start date, no refunds will be issued.


This program is recommended for those who regularly maintain their physical fitness. However, all fitness levels are welcome and we will happily provide modifications as needed throughout the course.

Attendees should wear loose, comfortable clothing and arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class beginning. Our studio is located in the space behind One World Coffee Shop. The studio has a side door entrance across from the garden patio. Directions >>
