About the Origin: Aceh
You may have noticed that we call this coffee a Sumatra Mandheling and not Sumatra Aceh. This is because the coffee's name is derived from the ethnic group from the island this coffee is produced in, rather than the region's name itself. The Aceh region's altitude is between 3,600 ft. and 4,300 ft., with a harvest between September and December. Indonesia uses a unique coffee production method that causes some division amongst coffee drinkers. It is a combination of a washed and natural process, by using this method it reduces the coffee’s acidity and increases the body too. This creates a soft and well rounded cup, this may also introduce some other flavors like the earthy notes we see in our coffee.

Our Coffee:
Harvested organically in Indonesia, this coffee is known for its very heavy body and low acidity. Produces a smooth, velvety, yet pronounced cup of coffee. A dark roasted and earthy delight!
